Our Primary 4 pupils stepped back in time as they took part in an exciting WW2 Day in school.
Throughout the day, P4 explored what life was like during WW2 through different hands on activities. They learned about the countries involved in the war and the roles they played; They wrote in code to discover how messages were sent during the war; and they completed a scavenger hunt for old WW2 items.
P4 got to examine a selection of authentic and replica items from WW2 which helped the children get a better understanding of daily life at the time.
One of the highlights of the day was experiencing life as a soldier. The pupils enjoyed army crawling and marching. A big well done to Leo Mc Donald our Chief Commander who displayed excellent listening skills and won the competition for best soldier.
A very enjoyable day for all. 😀
