September Snapshots from P3/4 📸
🍂 A September to Remember in P3/4! 🍂
We’ve had a very busy and exciting start to the year in P3/4! Here are some of the wonderful things we’ve been learning and exploring this month:
🌳 Forest Schools Adventures
The children have been out enjoying nature and learning all about the trees around us. They had great fun identifying different leaves and noticing how the forest is changing as autumn begins.
🎨 Nature Self Portraits
Using natural materials, the boys and girls created their very own self-portraits. It was amazing to see their imaginations come alive with sticks, leaves, stones, and more!
🔢 Numeracy
In Maths, we have been working hard with 2- and 3-digit numbers. The class has been practising place value, ordering numbers, and finding the number before, after, and in between. Everyone has been showing super number skills!
📚 Literacy
Our literacy learning has included phonics practice and putting words into alphabetical order. The children have also loved visiting the school library, choosing new books, and enjoying some quiet reading time together.
💡 World Around Us – Inventions
Our WAU topic this term is Inventions. The children learned about amazing inventors from the past, and then used junk materials to design and build their very own creative inventions. There were so many imaginative ideas!
It’s been a fantastic month in P3/4. We can’t wait to see what October brings! 🍁
