Primary 2/3 go on a 3D shape hunt ๐๐
3rd Feb 2026
Today our class became shape detectives as they went on a 3D Shape Hunt around the school!
They were able to explore classrooms, corridors and outdoor areas to spot 3D shapes in real life. They searched for cubes, cuboids, cylinders, spheres, cones and pyramids. ๐ง๐ขโฝ๏ธ
During the hunt they:
- Named and identified different 3D shapes.
- Talked about what the shapes look like.
- Worked together and shared ideas.
- Created a tally of the shapes they found.
This activity helped bring learning to life and showed how numeracy connects to the real world. The children were excited to spot shapes in places they see every day- from bins to balls to boxes! ๐
Well done Primary 2 and 3 ๐
