P6 kicked off their first forest school session of the year by exploring 3D shape outdoors. The class collected twigs and used clay to construct the common 3D shapes they had been learning about in class, such as cubes, cuboids, pyramids and prisms. The children were then able to count the vertices, edges and faces of the shapes; this helped their learning to become more relevant, meaningful and of course FUN!
