On Monday the girls and boys from both P5 classes had a great visit to Kilkeel harbour. The visit was the climax of their 'Happy Harbour' WAU topic.
The harbour master, Michael Young gave St. Colman's pupils a great guided tour around our harbour. We went from the Nautilus Centre car park to the fish market, on to the slip, ice plant and the lifeboat house.
The highlight of our trip was the fantastic 'touch tank' full of all types of sea life.
We finished our morning in the Fisherman's Mission where we all received a drink and a snack before heading back to school. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational trip for everyone.
