As part of Maths Week, our P2/3 pupils took part in a fantastic Numeracy Scavenger Hunt around the school! The children became maths detectives for the day, using their problem-solving skills to explore all areas of the curriculum — and all corners of the school!
Throughout the hunt, pupils:
🔢 Solved number problems by adding and subtracting.
🔺 Searched for shapes hidden around the playground and corridors.
⏰ Read clocks to tell the time.
⚖️ Compared weights to find which objects were heavier or lighter.
💰 Counted coins to solve money challenges.
The hunt took us from classrooms to the hall, the playground, and even the library — learning was happening everywhere! The children showed amazing teamwork, great enthusiasm, and brilliant mathematical thinking throughout.
It was a fun, hands-on way to celebrate Maths Week, and everyone agreed it made numbers come alive! Well done, P2/3 — you are all super mathematicians! 🌟
