A local author called Declan Carville came to visit our class last week. Primary One absolutely love story time so it was no surprise that they adored every minute of Declan's time with them. He read the children two of his stories called 'Valentine O'Byrne' and 'The Fairy Glen'. Declan showed the children photographs of the Fairy Glen in Rostrevor, where one of his stories is set.The boys and girls were all amazed that the little fairies live so close to us! Some of them were even able to tell Declan stories about the fairies that they have seen!! A fantastic day was had by all and each and every child's imagination came to life. We look forward to the next time Declan visits.
