Lent Assembly and Visit from Trocaire

This morning Primary 4 delivered a lovely assembly about Lent. They spoke about Jesus’ time in the desert and how Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The children acted out ways in which we can make good choices during Lent and how we should always listen to our conscience - our little inside voice that tells us to do the right thing. The children finished their assembly by singing the wilderness song.

Nick from Trocaire also spoke to the whole school at assembly about Trocaire’s Lenten campaign. He showed us lots of pictures and told us all about the family that feature on the Trocaire box this year. The school council are busy organising lots of fundraising activities to raise money for this wonderful charity over Lent.
