Launching Catholic Schools Week

This morning at Assembly we launched Catholic Schools Week in our school. The children from P2 class reminded us in their prayers, Art work and songs how God created our beautiful world for us to use and look after. We all joined in at the end with our ECO song. Thank you boys and girls for such an enjoyable start to this special week.

We also had some invited guests who came to our assembly. We presented a cheque to Mrs Helen Sloan for Southern Area Hospice. The Friends of St Colman's had held a Coffee Morning and the children had a non uniform day to help raise funds for this worthy cause. We were delighted to present £400! 

We also presented a cheque to Mrs Dolores Cunningham. She accepted a donation of £300 on behalf of St Vincent de Paul.

There was a special announcement to finish off this assembly. Mrs Donnelly presented a prize to Colleen Ferguson (P6) who had entered the quiz at the Open Evening at St Columban's College.
