What excitement today!
Earlier this week we had received an email from Fr. Nicky to say that he had a visitor from Longstone, SarahAnne Smith. He wanted to link with St Colman’s PS during her visit. The digital leaders, Kayden, Alex and Eimear did a wonderful job today in assisting with our connection and the recording of this event. The School Council gathered in the library and gave a great cheer when Fr Nicky appeared on the screen. He began by telling the children in St Francis of Assisi School in Mombasa that this was the school that he had attended as a young boy.
The children from St Francis of Assisi School sang songs, recited prayers and performed some drama acts. Some children gave a display of their gymnastic skills. They received rapturous applause from the children of the School Council. We also met some of the staff who work in their school.
The School Council had an opportunity to ask some questions. They asked about the technology resources, favourite authors and sports that they enjoy at school.
The School Council plan to link up again soon.
