Primary 7 had the opportunity this term to study Irish Poetry. One of the poems the children studied in depth was 'Blackberry Picking' by Seamus Heaney. The children thoroughly enjoyed reading this poem and a love of poetry soon developed within the class. The children then took it upon themselves to research other Irish Poets using the internet and they worked in pairs to present their fact files using Microsoft Word.
