P6 are delighted to have been given the opportunity to participate in the award winning Irish News Young Readers Media Project this year. The project aims to introduce a new generation of readers to an understanding of the world around them. Familiarising young people with the power of the news undoubtedly helps them to learn and develop their communication skills, including reading, writing, talking and listening.
In this project we have been looking at news from different perspectives, exploring topics and issues affecting young people, as we encourage them to read a weekly newspaper in an interactive and informed way.
