🧑🚒 Firefighter Mervin visits P5 🧑🚒
Today Primary 5 had a very special guest—Firefighter Mervin! He came to our school to talk to us all about fire safety and how to stay safe in case of an emergency.
Firefighter Mervin started by talking to us about how dangerous fire can be. He explained that while fire helps us in many ways, like cooking and heating our homes, it can also be very dangerous if we’re not careful. Fires can spread quickly, so it’s important to know how to stay safe. Mervin shared important fire safety tips with us.
One of the best parts was trying on Mervin’s fire suit. It was really heavy! We tried on his helmet, gloves, and boots, and learned that firefighters need all this special gear to stay safe when they’re fighting fires. Mervin explained how the suit protects firefighters from heat and flames. It made us realise how important it is for firefighters to wear all that equipment to stay safe.
Firefighter Mervin told us about all the amazing things firefighters do. Not only do they fight fires, but they also rescue people, animals, and help in emergencies. It takes a lot of training and bravery to do their job, and we all agreed that firefighters are real-life heroes.
