As part of the Primary 1 and Primary 2 World Around Us topics, Mr Colgan kindly agreed to bring in some of his sheep from his family farm. He talked about the jobs involved in looking after a farm and in particular, sheep. He demonstrated how to dose sheep, pair their feet, clip their wool and apply pour on to keep away flies and maggots. Ryan Hennity was a great help to Mr Colgan in helping him mark the sheep after they were dosed. The P1, P2, P7 and Dunnaman children thoroughly enjoyed watching and learning about this real life farming experience.
