Our DreamSpace Ambassadors took part in an exciting coding training session this week, learning all about how to use the Micro:bit!
The session began with exploring bugs and debugging, where pupils learned that mistakes in code are a normal part of programming — and how to fix them! They then moved on to sequencing, using the Micro:bit’s LED display to design and light up a fun digital profile.
Next, they discovered how to use loops to create animated LED patterns, bringing their coding creations to life. Finally, the ambassadors explored ‘if, then, else’ commands to code a virtual coin toss, introducing them to how computers make decisions.
They even used a comparison block to make show a congratulations message in a step counter! Wow
Everyone had a fantastic time developing their coding skills and can’t wait to share their new knowledge with others in school when they will deliver workshops!
