The children in P6 are enjoying the story of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. They have created their very own characters just like the author Roald Dahl and had the exciting task of designing a chocololate factory! They also designed new chocolate bars using catchy nouns, verbs and adjectives. One of the children's favourite writing activities was to write a diary entry as Charlie about the experience of winning the last Golden Ticket. Some of the children shared their writing with Mrs Donnelly. She told the children that she enjoyed their diary entries very much.
We celebrated Roald Dahl Day on Monday 13th September. The children have read lots of Roald Dahl's books already and are looking forward to reading more of his books from the school library.
