đłA Spellbinding Adventure in Forest School P3/4!đŞ
This week in Forest School, our young witches and wizards enjoyed a magical adventure inspired by Harry Potter! We began by reading the story of how Harry got his wand, which sparked lots of excitement and imagination. The children were fascinated by the idea that every wand is unique — just like its owner!đ§âď¸đ§âď¸
After our story, the children were challenged to create their own forest wands using natural materials. They searched carefully around the woodland area for strong, straight sticks that could be shaped into durable wands. This led to some brilliant discussions about which types of wood might make the best wands — and why strength, flexibility, and smoothness were all important qualities.
Once the perfect sticks were chosen, they practised key skills such as:
-
Joining with tape – wrapping and securing materials neatly and safely.
-
Tying with string – learning different knots to hold decorations in place.
-
Using fine motor skills – carefully winding, twisting, and trimming materials.
-
Design thinking – choosing how to personalise their wand to reflect their magical style!
Throughout the session, we saw wonderful examples of teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance đł
We’re so proud of how well everyone used their practical skills and creative thinking. Who knows — perhaps we have a few real wizards in our midst! đŞ
