ðĶA Lolli-POP of Safety with Barney! ðĶ
Barney gave us brilliant advice:
-
Never run when crossing.
-
Always cross in front of Barney so he can see you.
-
Don’t follow Barney onto the road. Wait on the pavement until he signals.
-
Hold hands with an adult or older sibling.
-
Stay on the pavement on the other side and if you forget something, don’t run back across the road.
-
Barney also gave a message for parents: Please walk up and cross with Barney. Don’t cross on your own further down the street.
Barney also showed us his bright yellow uniform and his big ‘STOP’ lollipop to help everyone see him.
We finished by roleplaying crossing the road in the playground. The children all did fantastic!
A huge thank you to Barney for helping us learn how to stay safe on our daily journey to school! ðķâïļð
