π· βThe Great Bulb Journey β Primary 1βs Forest School Adventure!β π±
This week, Primary 1 enjoyed a wonderful Forest School lesson all about planting bulbs as part of our World Around us topic of Journeys. We talked about how a bulb goes on its very own journey as it grows and changes over time. First, it starts off small and hidden under the soil and then with a little sunshine, rain and care, it begins to sprout and bloom into a beautiful flower!
The boys and girls loved getting hands on in the garden. Everyone filled their own pot with soil using shovels, before carefully planting tulip and daffodil bulbs. It was great to see so many smiling faces and muddy hands as the children worked together and learned about how things grow.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Matthews, who leads our Garden Gang, for all her help and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to watch our bulbs grow and see the colourful flowers appear in the spring which will be the next part of our bulbs’ exciting journey! πΈ
