🐧 Primary 2 Learn How to Stay Safe Online with Smartie the Penguin! 🐧
This week, our Primary 2 class had a very important visitor — Smartie the Penguin! 🐧
Smartie helped the children learn all about how to stay safe when using the internet, apps and online games.
The class talked about how exciting technology can be, but also why it is important to make smart and safe choices online.
The children learned that just like in real life, we should not talk to strangers online.
Smartie explained that if someone they don’t know tries to message, call or contact them,
they should:
- Stop
- Not reply
- Tell a trusted adult straight away
We also explored what pop-up messages are and how they can sometimes appear unexpectedly on screens.
Smartie reminded us that pop-ups might not always be safe, even if they look fun or offer prizes.
The class practised our new online safety rule:
✨ “Before you tap, STOP, THINK, and TELL someone!” ✨
The children took part in discussions, role-play activities and shared ideas about who they can talk to if something online makes them feel unsure or worried.
It was a fantastic session and the children are becoming confident, responsible digital learners.
Well done Primary 2 — and thank you, Smartie Penguin, for helping us stay safe online! 🐧💻⭐
