🏕️ Primary 2 Celebrate Bonfire Night at Forest School 🔥
Primary 2 enjoyed a wonderful Forest School session this week as part of their World Around Us topic on Celebrations.
The children learned all about Bonfire Night and how people celebrate it safely.
We began by talking about fire safety —
🔥 keeping a safe distance,
🔥 never touching fire - even when it was been put out,
🔥 always stay close to adults,
🔥 never run near fire,
🔥 always put out campfire.
The children showed great understanding of how to keep themselves and others safe when using a campfire.
Then came the highlight of the morning — making s’mores!
Everyone helped to toast marshmallows over the campfire and sandwich them between biscuits to make a delicious, gooey treat. There were lots of happy, sticky faces by the end!
The session was a perfect mix of learning and fun, helping the children understand how we can celebrate special occasions responsibly while enjoying the warmth and excitement of the fire together.
Also, some great ICT skills shown by the P2 photographers today!
🔥 Well done, Primary 2 — safe, sensible, and super s’more makers!
