On Friday 28th April the Active Learning Company came to our school for a World War II Workshop. There was a fantastic variety of activities:- Dress Up (military and civilian), Play Shadows on the Wall, What am I?(identify display objects from photos, Map the War, Handle Weapons of War, Attempt the Webbing Relay Race, Decode Secret Messages, PLay with Wartime Toys and Games, Make an Evacuee's Label, Examine an Evacuee's Suitcase, and Bombers and Fighters Game (identify aircraft from silhouettes). After all these exciting activities the P4s watched a PowerPoint presentation on the War. To finish off the action packed day the P4s did marching drill and made a medal. The P4s thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and worked really well in their groups. Truly a highly enjoyable day.
