Yesterday our P3/4 class had a fantastic day out at Silent Valley.
We had a lovely sunny day to walk through the forest up to the dam, while our guide told us all about where the water comes from and how the reservoir supplies our local area.
We also saw how people used to live 100 years ago in Watertown (which was the first place in Ireland to have electric street lights!)
We did a lot of walking and had tired feet by home time but still had time to run and play in the grass before returning to school.
