This week at Forest School, our young explorers had an exciting time on a minibeast hunt!
Equipped with magnifying glasses, bug pots, and plenty of curiosity, the children ventured into the wild to see what tiny creatures they could find.
There were squeals of delight as they discovered beetles under logs, spiders in webs, and even a family of woodlice hiding beneath a stone.
But the biggest excitement of the day came when the children counted an incredible 44 ants scurrying around their nest—what a find!
The session was a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, practise careful observation, and learn about the fascinating world of minibeasts. The children worked brilliantly together, showing great teamwork and care for the creatures they found before gently returning them to their habitats.
