Breaking News!

21st Feb 2020

It is always exciting to share good news with someone. We have lots of reasons to be excited today because of the good news we have received recently.

The School Council has been working very hard from October with Mrs White. They were set with the job of carrying out a lot of tasks which involved the entire school community and submitting this work to Rights Respecting Schools. This is the first stage and results in being awarded Bronze status if the work is to the high standards required. We have received confirmation that we have been presented with this Bronze award. This is a very prestigious and important award for our school. The next stage for the children is the Silver award. There is a lot to do in the next few months before the school will be assessed in the Autumn term.

A number of children from P5 took part in an after schools gardening club in November, together with the ECO group and Garden Gang and have been successful in being awarded the Wild Challenge Silver award. These children are so interested in their environment and work very hard every day to creating and looking after our beautiful school environment. They are now in the next stage of working towards the Gold award!

Congratulations girls and boys and thank you to all the staff who help and encourage the children.
